Last Friday Jacob turned FIVE! He was SO excited!!
That evening we had a 'little' party for him at the park - just 50+ of our closest friends. The night before I baked 6 dozen cupcakes and right before the party my mom helped me frost them. It was pretty hot and humid so my buttercream got a little melty.
Just some shots of everyone playing at the park. I think everyone had a good time. Lots of tears and tantrums when it was time to go so I think that's a sign that it was a fun time, right?
These guys were the biggest tantrum throwers. Whoo Whee! Scary.
This was my favorite conversation - my mom and the husband of my friend, Adriana, from boot camp. Random! Well, not totally, I guess, since they both work in schools, but it still made me chuckle when I saw them chatting together.
Singing 'Happy Birthday' to the birthday boy.
Digging into his funfetti cupcake. He requested funfetti and Isaac now refers to this as the 'Funfetti Party'. We also had lemon with lemon cream cheese frosting and chocolate with peanut butter frosting.
Thank you to all of you who came out to celebrate with us! We are so blessed to have such great friends!!
THEN, on Sunday we had a party to celebrate Jacob and Jen's b-days.
We had quite a few cupcakes left over so I decided to just use those for this party too. I wanted to make it look like I put a little effort into it, so I did this. Impressive, huh?
I love the look on Isaac's face in this picture. He was waiting so patiently, but couldn't wait to dig into a cupcake!
Jacob was so excited about his new Legos, he almost hyperventilated!
Jen was pretty excited about her new iPod and iTunes; she almost hyperventilated. Oh, just kidding!
Jeff got Jacob a ball and bat and the boys had a ton of fun playing!
Trying out those new Legos!
Hangin' with my sissy in law
Can't believe that this little guy is five already! Happy birthday, Jacob Alan!!
