A couple weeks ago, Jacob started school. He is doing exactly what he did last year - JrK with the same teacher, 3 days a week. Our hope is that by having Mrs. Kidd again, he will get more comfortable with her and figure out that it is okay to talk to your teacher. He didn't say much to her last year!
He was so, so excited to start school again!
The first day of school was a little rough for Isaac. Okay, a lot rough, so I didn't get to take many pictures of Jacob. I snapped a couple on his second day of school and one of his classmates wanted in on it too. Cute!
This school year has already had a much better start than last year. He had a couple behavior issues at the start of the year last year. Just trying to figure things out. But now that he's been there before, knows all the rules and what is expected of him, he hasn't had any problems. Well, except that he was moved to a different carpet square because he was chatting too much with his buddy Joe. Hmmm....the apple doesn't fall far from THIS tree!
We've really been talking up the fact that he is the big boy in his class now and that he needs to be a helper to his teacher and to the other kids. Not sure if he has done much of that, but he did mention that he made some new friends. So proud of our little guy! He is gaining a little confidence and we hope that he keeps that up!
