The boys slept the entire way to San Diego where we stopped to get lunch at Station Burger, a fun little place about 5 minutes from the zoo. We ate outdoors at a picnic table and the boys had fun playing in the play area with a cute little caboose. Then it was off to the zoo......
First stop - Monkeys!!!
These monkeys had incredibly long arms
These had incredibly long tails
Who's that monkey??
Jacob watching a big gorilla which you can't see very well because the glass was all scratched up and full of glare. I couldn't help wonder what this big beast was thinking as we were all staring at her while she tried to rest.
I guess technically we saw the flamingos first

Hippos!
Look at that skin
The boys both loved the meerkats. They are so fun to watch!

Jacob said his favorite animals were the giraffes, even though he didn't spend much time looking at them because he was too focused on the gazelle that he thought was a goat. 'Goat not scary. Goat not scary.'

The elephants were really cool. They are just SO big!! Jacob learned that 'Elephants poop!'
We ended our trip in the children's area where Jacob could run off some energy while Isaac napped in the stroller. Alan took him in the petting zoo where there were lots of goats, so Jacob did not like it at all. Seriously, this kid has a goat complex and I'm not sure why. :P
It was hard to get a good shot of this. This one is my favorite because of the look on Jacob's face.
It was a fun day and we have passes so we can go back as often as we want. :D
Oh, and of course the long ride home had to end with Jacob throwing up. At least this time he waited until we were almost home. Not sure where this sudden carsickness is coming from. He's never had a problem with it before. Guess he'll have to wear a bib on long car rides from now on!! Ha Ha.
