Last night as we were getting ready to to go bed, Alan spotted something out of the corner of his eye. Just like that a mouse goes shooting from the corner of the dining room and into the kitchen. Lovely! It was a big one too. I am not too fond of the rodents, so was not really looking forward to going to bed knowing there was a mouse in the house. Alan started setting some traps. He accidently set one off and that scared the mouse from behind the fridge. Thankfully it decided to run toward the laundry room and out the dog door! Whew. Now Alan needs to fix the dog door so none of its friends decide our nice, cozy warm house is a good place to be. The flap is starting to rip off so the hole is pretty much open. I think if there was a flap there it would be harder for the mouse to push on in. Hopefully that mouse told his mousy friends that 1) we have traps and 2) there is a big angry dog that will chase you.
My title is CreatureS because today after lunch I pulled off the tray insert on Jacob's highchair and discovered a huge moth under it. How does a moth get under that? Gross.
Also, sometimes when Jacob is throwing a tantrum, he seems a bit like a wild creature. He has been telling us more and more when he is unhappy with something, like today when we had to leave the park. He pitched a BIG fit. There was lots of screaming and flailing and bucking. He told me how he felt the whole way home too. Ah, toddlerhood.
Here are a few pictures of my wild creature from last week on Halloween.
Standing on his own. What a brave little lion!

ROAR!!!
