Traveling with a child involves much planning. Jacob requires a lot of stuff, more now than when we went to MI at Christmastime. My sister-in-law thankfully found us some things to borrow from friends - a stroller, highchair and pack-n-play. That left the car seat. We could put it in the giant bag we have and Alan could carry it on his back, but the car seat is a bit of a beast. We could rent it from a place that rents baby stuff, but it was a little pricey to just rent one thing. The delivery charge was $30, which would be fine if you were getting more stuff, but hardly justifiable for just one item.
We finally came up with this:
Its a car seat carrier and stroller all in one! They do sell specialty carriers for car seats, but those were like $75. We found this at Target for $30. We'll just throw this contraption in our super huge bag and gate check the whole business. Jacob seemed to think it was pretty fun wheeling around the house, so hopefully he is as enamored by it at the airport.

That is the most unique contraption I've ever seen! How fun it will be for Jacob to take a trip to see his cousins. Maddie had a blast with all of hers.
Wow, I've never seen one of those, how cool! It kind of looks like a hand truck. I hope you guys have a great trip and that traveling is nice and easy for you.
