SNOW!!

What do you do when the boys won't nap? You load them up in the car and head for the mountains to play in some snow. We wanted to see how far we could get before finding closed roads and we didn't get far. They had HWY38 blocked off at Bryant St. so along with everyone else who was detoured, we headed to Oak Glen. It took us forever, but it was okay because both boys fell asleep and it was fun just to people watch. We weren't sure how Jacob would react to this cold, wet, white stuff. He loved it! He plowed right in with absolutely no hesitation.

Here he was falling down a little hill.

Cleaning off the bench. He loves to clean things.

Isaac liked it too!

We ended the afternoon with some hot chocolate and then headed back down the mountain. It took us a while so I was glad I had taken some extra clothes for Jacob to change into (Isaac didn't get too wet) so he didn't freeze the whole way home. We arrived home to smells of a roast in the crockpot and bread in the bread maker. However, for some reason, the roast wasn't done, so we had tamales from the freezer. Hmmmm, just not the same. I kicked the crockpot onto the high setting and the roast was finished at around 9:00 pm.
