Tummy Time and Fun With Fog

After Jacob went to bed last night, Alan and I gave Isaac some tummy time. At first he just kinda laid there looking cute.

He always furrows his brow like this. He can also raise one (non-existent) eyebrow. The same one Jacob and I can raise.

Then he got the hang of moving his head around.

My friend Megan had some Chicago style pizzas sent to us (thanks Scott and Megan!) and they come packed in dry ice. After dinner Alan and Jacob had a fog party. Jacob thought it was pretty cool!

This week has gone pretty well. Isaac is sleeping and eating a bit better at night, thanks to some lighting changes and Jacob is less upset while I feed Isaac, although that may be due to a change in venue. I used to attempt to feed Isaac on the couch, but that just ended in disaster. Jacob would stand on the couch, try to climb on the end tables, pester Isaac - you get the picture. I now feed him either at the kitchen table or on a barstool where Jacob can't reach us. Not the most comfy place to nurse, but whatever works, right?

This week we didn't have to worry about what to have for dinner and that has been so nice. The church has a ministry where volunteers provide meals for new moms. We are getting 3 this week! Thanks to Cecilia and Jess for bringing over yummy dinners. We have another one coming tonight too! We are blessed. :)

This morning Jacob was an absolute bear, so after Isaac ate at 7:30 we went for a long walk. I probably overdid it a bit and may pay later, but at least Jacob was content for a while. He even took a little snooze. Then we played out in the front and back yards until snack time. Jacob's newest obsession are the chains from the porch swing. It isn't up yet, so the chains were laying on the front porch. He found them yesterday and now all he wants to do is drag them around.

Oh, and by the way, that cupcake from my parents was SO good. When Alan cut it in half, we discovered it was filled with fudge! If you ate an entire cupcake yourself, you would likely go into a sugar coma.
