I forgot to give Isaac's stats: 8 lbs. 2 oz. and 21-1/4 inches. That's very similar to Jacob, who was 8 lbs. 4 oz. and 20 inches. Isaac has very long fingers, toes, and feet. He has dark hair, which isn't quite as thick as Jacob's was.
Patty will be discharged today, but Isaac has to stay another night for more antibiotics. We get to use the recovery room for another night because our extra time is due to a mistake. Patty had tested positive for Strep B, but the nurses forget to start the antibiotics until about 30 minutes prior to the delivery. Ideally that would start 4 hours in advance so that the baby gets a good dose. Instead, Isaac is getting four doses by IV at 12-hour intervals. Unfortunately, the first one was around 2 pm yesterday, so he won't finish until 2 am tonight.
Otherwise, Isaac and Patty are doing very well. He has been a very sleepy baby. Sometimes, we have to work to keep him awake while he eats.
