Backyard Fun

We haven't been able to play in the backyard much lately with all the workers running around, not to mention all the tools, piles of dirt and rocks. We have been going out in the evenings, but it doesn't always last long because someone always ends up getting into something they shouldn't. Usually Isaac since Jacob is content to sit and dig in the sandbox. Anyway, this afternoon we played out there for a while and the boys had lots of fun getting dirty!

Jacob would sit in the sandbox all day long just scooping dirt into pails.

A little child labor here. We wanted to pick up the filler rocks in the yard before they got trampled into the lawn. We thought the boys would LOVE to fill up the wheelbarrow with rocks. Isaac was game, but Jacob wanted nothing to do with it. Bummer.

This is to show the cool shade cover that Alan built over the swing set. It was always in the sun and I felt like it was a bad idea for my pale children to be in the swings under the hot sun, so my handy hubby designed and built this. Pretty cool, huh?
